A Flavour for Both, performance of coffee making at Tas Kavhe Cafeteria, for 3 hours, Cunda, Turkey, 2012.
I made and served Greek/Turkish coffee at Tas Kavhe- which was a traditional cafe, ,in Tas Kanhe- a traditional cafe, in Cunda island. Both Turkey and Greece have the same coffee and preparation method. Also, athey both interpret the grains of coffee on the cup, as signs that depict the future. However, they name it differently, after their nationality.
I asked the Turkish people if they wanted to be served with Greek coffee, meanwhile the Greeks, with Turkish.
All the people responded kindly.
It was obvious that the political clash did not affect the daily lives of the people and the way they related to each other.
